Rink 2 saw John Mooney, Derek Brown, JJ Leonard and Stanley Hegan take on Roger McCall, J Murtagh, P McVeigh and S Elliman. A5 in the fifth end meant Falls led 9-5 at 5 ends. The defict grew and the score was 7-14 at 10 ends. Foxy’s men rallied and the score was 15-19 at 15 ends, but the Falls rink responded to win 26-16.

Rink 3 had Mark De Conink, Michael Bell, Ian Hutton and Brian Leonard face A Smith, P Sloane, J Kerr and P McGarrity. A good start saw NICS lead 7-1 at 5 ends. The Falls rink got going and teh lead was 9-7 at 10 ends. Falls then took the lead 14-11 at 15 ends as they outplayed the NICS rink. The final score was 32-12, with Brian dropping consecutive sixes in the last 2 ends when chasing shots to leave the scoreline an unfair reflection of the game.

Rink 4 saw Norman Shields, Chris Graham, Freddie Murdock and Davy Hunter take on A Coyle, B Rice, J McGettrick and P McEwan. Davy’s rink started well leading 6-3 after 5 ends and 10-7 after 10 ends. The NICS rink kept their noses in front leading 14-10 at 15 ends and held off a Falls fightback to win 19-18.

Rink 5 had Derek Forsythe, Billy McCullough, Mansel Montgomery and Alan Montgomery take on Paul Brennan, D McCullough, D Nixon and M Merritt. A four in the 5th end saw Al lead 5-3 at 5 ends. Falls responded to make the score 16-5 at 10 ends. The next 5 ends were shared leaving the score 11-21 at 15 ends. Falls finished strongly and the final score was 12-34.
